Introduction to HPC

High performance computing refers to computing systems with extremely high computational power that are able to solve hugely complex and demanding problems, for which a normal computer is inadequate.

(Extremely) simply put, if a laptop or a desktop system is analogous to a tree, an HPC center could be seen as an entire forest.
