Overview¶
Here you find a description of the ASC system architecture.
Austrian Scientific Computing (ASC) is a collaboration of several Austrian universities that provides supercomputer resources and technical support to their users.
The current flagship systems of the ASC family are VSC-4 and VSC-5, the fastest supercomputers in Austria. Both systems are powering science and research at the leading academic institutions in Austria, and fulfill the demand for high computing power in the areas such as physics, chemistry, meteorology, life sciences, and many others.
MUSICA (Multi-Site Computer Austria) is the latest addition to Austria's national supercomputing infrastructure. The system's compute resources are distributed across three locations: in Vienna, Innsbruck, and Linz. It is currently in closed test phase and should be in service at the end of 2025.
